Deine Rolle im Team Join our highly motivated team of experts dedicated to combating cyber security threats. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will work closely with system administrators and network engineers to develop and operate our cutting-edge defense platforms. These platforms are crucial for protecting our hosting products and infrastructure, encompassing classic DDoS Mitigation, modern Web Application Firewalls (WAF), Zero Trust strategies, and our Content Delivery Network (CDN). Design, develop, and fine-tune our defense logic to effectively mitigate complex DDoS attacks across the network and application layers. Optimize and enhance current pipelines for automated threat detection, mitigation, and comprehensive reporting. Collaborate with system administrators to drive the automation of operational tasks and infrastructure provisioning. Develop and maintain robust APIs/interfaces to facilitate seamless integration of our defense capabilities into hosting products. Manage and troubleshoot our high-availability and complex defense infrastructure, including active participation in a rotating on-call service schedule. Unsere Erwartungen an dich Ausbildung You have a degree in Computer Science or a comparable educational background. You possess a strong interest in security topics, excellent networking knowledge, and meet the following qualifications: Qualifikationen A deep commitment to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation as core tenets of your engineering methodology. Familiarity with advanced networking concepts, including BGP, flowspec, anycast routing, and a solid understanding of network protocols within Linux systems. Excellent analytical skills for evaluating complex DDoS attacks, designing effective countermeasures, and continuously evolving our defense platforms. The ability to communicate fluently in English with an international team is required; German language is a bonus. Erfahrung Several years of experience in system-near development of highly available, scalable software artifacts using languages such as Go, C, Python, PHP, or Bash. Experience in writing application logic with Lua scripting, particularly in combination with NGINX. Practical hands-on experience operating and configuring NGINX as a reverse proxy, load balancer, or Web Application Firewall (WAF). Unser Angebot We are looking for someone in Berlin or Karlsruhe!
