Deine Rolle im Team As an SCC System Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, integration and validation of the SCC which will allow the Satellite Monitoring and Control. The System to be developed consists of a set of tools which allow the commanding and monitoring of the Space Segment, as well as the integration of the Ground Segment monitoring and configuration tools. Your range of tasks will cover the entire System Development lifecycle, including Requirements definition, System Design and IVV. Your activities will be performed in close cooperation with the Ground Segment System Engineers, the Service Operations team, S/C and Payload manufacturers as well as the SCC sub-contractors. The holder of this position will be located at Ottobrunn and reports to the SCC Lead Engineer. This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks. Define and analyse customer requirements and contribute to the definition of the adequate System and Software Requirements, ensuring robustness and compatibility with the already existing building blocks. Define System Architecture, with particular focus on the M&C needs, Mission DB and FOPs execution. Support the coordination of the subcontractors, with particular focus on the System Design phase. Conduct analysis on System non-conformances, discrepancies and waivers. Prepare IVV concept, define test cases and perform integration testing at SCC level. Support the Ground Segment integration testing. Analyse data from validation tests to determine whether systems and processes meet required criteria and specifications. Unsere Erwartungen an dich Ausbildung Master's degree in Aerospace, Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Science or other related Engineering. Qualifikationen Deep understanding of the Ground Segment architecture and main functional building blocks. Deep understanding of key Satellite commanding and control systems, including command generation, scheduling, validation and execution. Deep understanding of Satellite Monitoring techniques, including telemetry processing, fault management systems and FDIR mechanisms. Familiarity producing typical ECSS Documentation as DJFs, ICDs, VCDs, etc. Familiarity with the overall Mission Control Segment including RF chains, Antenna control Systems including their basic principles, components, and functionalities. Knowledge of Flight Dynamics and/or Crypto Systems is a plus. Knowledge of modern Systems Engineering techniques and tools (MBSE, DOORS, EA, CAMEO, Capella) is a plus. Knowledge of AGILE Development Lifecycle (Kanban, SCRUM) is a plus. Ability to operate and efficiently communicate in a multi-national team organisation. Language skills: English and German fluent. Erfahrung Proven experience with Satellite Communication and Satellite Control systems, for GEO and/or LEO missions. Knowledge of Software Technologies and IVV principles, as well as experience with Software Development are a plus. Experience with ECSS-80C and/or ECSS-40C process is a plus.
